Pain in base of Penis, hurts to bend away from body

For about two weeks I have been experiencing a dull pain in the base of my penis. It only hurts when I bend it away from my body at 45-60* and all after that. My shaft appears to be a bit more veiny. There was no known cause such as a sharp pain during any sexual activity (note: last time I had sex with in december). I have masturbated 2-3 times a day, mainly to feel comfortable and have done so for years, never with any problems. I can withstand the pain of my erection holding itself up but it is very uncomfortable. Occasionally, I'll sit down and feel a slight discomfort, then I'll shift and its gone. I have seen a doctor and they ruled to wait a week or two to see if it disappears. I feel like the pain has gotten a bit better but I'm unsure. Would like to know if anybody has experienced this or if anyone would know what this is.

Note: I do not have any weird curvature or harder/tougher areas in my penis. It only hurts to bend away from my body.

Maybe a light prostatitis. I agree with your doc to wait a bit. Since it seems to be getting better, let's hope your body heals itself. You don't mention your age, but it could be a symptom of getting a bit older, though this is unusual.
