Peeling Skin on Penis

Ok this takes a bit of explaining. I had jock itch and athlete's foot for a while, and I had been using the spray-on athlete's foot powder medicine (it said it works on jock itch too), usually lotrimin, for a good long while. Then one time I accidentally bought the plain liquid kind, which should've been fine, I just like the powder better. Anyway, I sprayed it on my crotch before going to bed, and when I woke up the next morning part of my penis, left side and more towards the head, was extremely, even painfully, sensitive. It was as if the skin was rubbed raw. The rest of the day, it was painful to the touch, even rubbing up against my boxers. After it stopped being overly sensitive, that part of my penis became under sensitive, sort of like it's numb? It just doesn't feel anything as strongly as it should. This was early January. It's been almost SIX months, and I've tried everything. I figured the spray caused it at first, so I put lotion on it. Then I thought it was the jock itch, so I put jock itch ointment on it. I've tried every combination of the two. I've also tried doing nothing, because the medicine wasn't working, so I thought maybe my skin was just tired of the medicine. Whenever I leave it alone, the skin gets a weird texture to it, like when you get some elmer's glue dried to your skin, and it peels off. I'm going to make an appointment with a dermatologist for this and other reasons tomorrow, but I would love any help I could get now. Oh, and I searched on MedHelp. I saw some threads about psoriasis, but I don't think that's what's wrong with me.
