Penis head retracts when I run

by radioactive, Jul 12, 2007 12:00AM
I am 33 years old, 30-40 pounds overweight, and just started running again to help lose weight and get in shape. I started running 6/28/07 and have been running about 2 miles every other day since (today is 7/11/07). The last three times I have been out the head of my penis retracts into the shaft within 50 yards of the run. When this happens it feels numb and very uncomfortable. I have to reach into my shorts and force the head back out to regain the comfort and continue my run. When I was in High School and College I ran competitively and never experienced this. I haven't had sex since I started running so I don't know if the effects are carried beyond my work out. But, since I started running, I have enjoyed an occasional, normal, good quality, spontaneous erection, or "morning wood" as some call it.
Is this something normal since I am over weight? Is it something I should monitor as I continue to run? or should I stop running until I figure out what is happening.
