Peyronies Questions

by branleur, Jun 18, 2007 12:00AM
I'm 18 years old, and a couple years ago I noticed a small indentation in the side of my penis. The indentation is now a couple milimeters deep on one side, and my penis is slightly bent. I have not noticed any progression of this for a long time now. I did some research and it seems like I have peyronies disease. I can get an erection but I experience slight pain during and after the erection, and my "down time" after having sex or masturbating seems to be greater than it was a few years ago.

I haven't seen a doctor about this, and I have a few questions I'd like cleared up. First of all, will this disorder eventually fix itself? Are there any steps I should take to speed up the healing process? Also, even though all signs point to peyronies disease should I still see a doctor about this?

Thank you.

A great resource for Peyronie's Disease is www.menshealthpd.com.  The site will be hosting a live chat on Peyronie's with Dr. Culley Carson on Wednesday 4/16/08 at 7 p.m. EST. Could be helpful for some of your questions.
