Phimosis treatment - Hydroval 0.2%?

Hey guys,

I have a slight case of phimosis. as in the foreskin can stretch (when i'm errected) till around half the head and not go further down without pain. If i force the foreskin fully behind the glans, it hurts and i can feel my head getting choking.

I went to a walk-in clinic and the doctor prescribed Hydroval 0.2% and after searching it up, I haven't come across anything that would relate the two although I have heard of 0.05% betamethasone. Do you think I should get a second opinion from another doctor or try this cream?

Any help would be much appreciated, especially if you've heard of Hydroval 0.2% being used to treat phimosis.

Thank you.

Hi,
Personally, I would also like to stay away from steroids, but would guess doctors know their job and should be safe for the application. Any how there is no harm for taking a second opinion, especially when there is no infection.
