Possible Yeast Infection? Guidance needed!

Possible Yeast Infection? Guidance needed!

Hi all, I've been in a relationship with a single partner for a long time, neither of us have had any sexual health problems in the past and we frequently practice unprotected sex. Once after we'd had sex I noticed tiny, scattered red spots on the head of my penis that became more pronounced the day after (thought still very small spots). I also developed something of a rash on the inside of my foreskin.

After a lot of searching around online I came to the conclusion that it was most likely a yeast infection, purchased some Canestan cream and used it regularly, the symptoms went away fairly quickly and I felt fine again. However, after me and my girlfriend had sex again some weeks later (we'd purposefully waited just in case) the spots had returned by the next morning.

After yet more internet searching I decided to take the pill that helps fight thrush, used the cream again and was happy to see it clear up. However, again, after sex the red spots and red, slightly sensitive skin have returned after sex with her.

As the symptoms seem to match many other people's who have described a yeast infection, it seems the most likely thing, and having looked over the affects of various other penile health problems it doesn't seem to match up to much else I've found. I don't know if it's my girlfriend that's bringing about the symptoms perhaps, as I haven't had sex with anyone else but it's always quick to return after we have? Another theory we had is that the spots may have developed after we had attempted anal sex for the first time (it had been fine with a previous partner but I understand now just how much can go wrong with that). I suppose the only thing that's worrying me is that no matter what I seem to do it keeps reappearing. Is there something with similar symptoms it could be? I've just been using the cream and pill again recently and have again cleared the symptoms (other than the slightly sore rash under the foreskin), but don't know if I can expect to see the symptoms come up again if I have sex with my new partner? Advice please?

take the pill and give another one to your girlfriend, bacause you guys are passing the yeast infection to each other. Women have yeast infections sometimes for reasons I don't know. Also that you have these recurrent infections have to do with your foreskin. Foreskin makes the perfect temperature and moist for fungus to reproduce. I used to have recurrent balanitis wich is a yeast infection until I went for a circumsicion. Consult a doctor about it.  Good luck
