Post-Circumcision

I'm 18 and was circumcised for phimosis about 48 hours ago.  However I'm not sure if the foreskin was actually removed or not because there's some sort of band of skin about 1cm long and rising 6-8mm above the rest of the penis.  The best way I can describe it is like a pinkish lifebuoy in between the glans and the shaft.  It seems to have black sutures at the bottom and looks kind of bloody, but at the glans side it's smooth with no signs of tear.  It and the glans are highly sensitive and hurt to touch.
Also, it has swollen in the past 24 hours.  Could someone tell me if this is the foreskin just left on to die or if this is something more serious.  I've arranged a doctor's appointment for tommorow to get it checked out but online help woule be much appreciated.

It's swelling from the surgery.  The foreskin is removed, not left on there to die off.  If you have concerns, it's a good idea to let the doctor have a look.  You are very early in the post op process.  It should be better within 48-72 more hours.  But please do show it to the doctor to be sure that's all it is.
It's normal to be sensitive and extremely sore for a while.

Yeah I got that checked out and the doc said it's normal and the swelling should go down in a day or two with some antibiotics.
