Prolonged Ejaculcation = Permanent Damage?

by KGinTO, May 28, 2006 12:00AM
I am a 35 yr old male who used to masturbate for long periods of time about 4 or 5 years ago. It would sometimes take several hours to achieve orgasm. A friend told me that I should seek medical advice about this but my physician at the time told me there was no way I could do any damage to myself. About a year after that I noticed that after finally achieving orgasm, my urine flow was rather weak and I also felt a tightness in my sphincter muscle area as well as the area between my scrotum and anus. Now I try to achieve orgasm as quickly as I can (no intercourse for more than a half hour) but still have discomfort afterwards. I particularly have gas backup/acid reflux after ejaculation. This doctor assures me that the two are unrelated and I went to a gastro specialist and he doesn't seem to be able to help me. He did a digital rectal exam/prostate check and said I was ok although it feels inflamed at times. I have been booked for a colonoscopy next month and if that comes out ok I am going to ask my doctor to refer me to a urologist. Sometimes it feels like my intestines are all knotted up after sex. Also there is discomfort in my testicle area as well as tightness in the anus. I also have either hemmorhroids or polyps inside my rectal area as well. I am just wondering if any permanent damage has been done to my urethra/prostate with the prolonged orgasms. It is extremely uncomfortable and the gas backup is annoying/inconvenient at times. Is there any herbal remedy besides Prosta-ease or Saw Palmetto I should be looking for?

Saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) is the most widely researched herb for the health of the prostate. Modern research has shown that saw palmetto inhibits the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, thereby supporting prostate health. Planetary Formulas Prosta Palmetto is a standardized concentrate containing 85%-95% fatty acids and sterols, the amount typically used in clinical trials.
