Pubic Hair Discoloration

by player333, Jun 05, 2006 12:00AM
For a while now, I have observed pubic hair around/near my lower scrotum/testicles to be light yellowish color. The upper parts of the pubic hair have a sort of yellowish build up on it, a build up that I can actually peel off. I tried to shave away the pubic hair, but more grew back, and the build up was still on the new hair. It's not a thick build up or anything, it just covers the hair. It isn't on my skin at all either, and it's only in my lower regions of the scrotum around where my legs touch my testicles and lower. I've read other comments of people who have the same problem, and I've read that it's due to sweating. Is that true? My newest way I believe to get rid of it is to wash it very well, shave the area, then use powder (I got baby powder) to keep from sweating. I have noticed sweating, and believe that could be the cause. Please help me, this has been bothering me for a while. I'm pretty sure it's not an STD. Help

i am no doctor but i have been researching this and from what i have discovered it is to do with ur diet...possbily iron levels which could also cause fatigue and dizzyness...try watching what you eat and stick to a balanced diet....also wash down there at least twice a day....sweat builds up down there really fast...try these two things and i believe it will help....if u think of any other symptoms u have tell me....if the problem continues in the next few weeks....try seeing a doctor...thats what they are there for

Greetings!  I'm happy to inform you that (in relation to your previous post) you're not suffering from an std.  I've dealt with this issue since i was 16, somewhat successfully, and i'll let you know what i know, and what i think.

1) Shave!
Perhaps the best piece of advice i can give you.  Now, i know that you'd look quite ridiculous after shaving the hair off your thighs, so just trim that down.  If you've no care about how odd you'd look with a large bald spot, shave it to the skin. (Also, shaving once and letting it grow to an acceptable- but not long!- length should keep it in check...) Always keep your scrotum, penis, and the area directly behind your scrotum hair free.  This will control sweat and odor.
2) Scrub!!!
I truly believe that this is a buildup of skin cells, sweat, and other "stuff" such as dirt, or other bodily substances...  I recommend that you purchase Lava soap, the bar kind, and give your genitals and groin area the most intense scrubbin' you can tollerate.  Daily.  Twice daily.  Do this after you've shaved, by the way.
3) Spray!!!
Lastly, this should take care of it for you.  Purchase a "powder spray" like lotrimin or tenactin.  make sure it's the "powder spray." It should come out as a... powder.  After you shower in the morning, (or evening, what have you...) dry off nicely and spray your groin.  put on your clothes and enjoy the day.  Before bed, shower again, spray again.  I recommend getting a spray that says something about controlling moisture and preventing jock itch.

there you have it!!  if you'll simply follow those steps, i believe you'll be very happy with the results.  Good Luck!!!

PS!  I've something of a scientific mind, and, just for your entertainment, this *gunk* reacts to hydrogen peroxide.  Not too well, and not well enough for H2O2 to be a cure-all, but it's just interesting to know...
