Pubic area pimples

I'm a female. I have a pimple on the outside of my vagina. As I was reading through the post I think its folliculitis. It didnt appear until after I shaved a few days ago. I didnt shave bald, but i just did a close shave. The pimple is painful when i touch it. I put rubbing alcohol on it and it went down some. I usually put alcohol on pimples that appear on my face too.
I was looking up symptoms of herpes and they say you would have multiple lesions. The pictures look so gross and mine looks like a pimple and its just one. I was recently tested by my dr. but when i looked thru my papers they tested for HIV, gonearrhea, chylmadia, hepititis (hepatitis) and syphillis (syphilis). (i know i spelled those names wrong) I havent had sex since my last test.
From what i read doctors only test for herpes if there symptoms of it,but shouldnt my dr have checked when they did all std test??
