Red, swollen opening of urethra. Lets figure this out guys

Hey guys, I'm a 20 year old male and I've been scouring the internet for a solution to this problem I'm having. I'm not sure how it set on, but it occurred after I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend (She hasn't developed anything and has been tested extensively). I assumed it was because I didn't shower immediately after.

Basically the tip of my penis (around the bottom side of the opening of my urethra) is red and looks irritated. The lips on both sides of the opening appear somewhat swollen as well. It seems to get more irritated at times and seems to alleviate the next day. Just back and forth but never really gets better. It's been about 2 and 1/2 months. Other symptoms seem to be...

-Might be my imagination, but more frequent urination.
-for the first month, tip of penis experienced a stinging sensation
-affected area felt extremely cold occasionally, for the first few weeks
-Don't really notice any discharge, maybe greenish tinge to my ****? what.
-Pee usually dark
-Became extremely irritated after masturbation, I have stopped that as well as sex.

Okay so heres where it gets frustrating. It seems that doctors don't know what is wrong with me (I've shown 2 and consulted with another). I have been tested for STD's and infections but everything has come up negative. I almost wish I had herpes or something just so I could know what the hell is wrong with me at this point. The best advice a doctor has given me thus far is to apply cortisone on my !**@!. Didn't help at all.

So I started looking online and realized that SO MANY dudes are having this same problem. I followed advice and started using tea tree oil on the affected area, which seemed to actually help the redness. But I stopped using it for a day or two and now it's about as bad as ever. Once again, NO PAIN anymore, which doesn't seem to be the situation with most of the posts I've seen concerning this problem.

Really at a loss for what to do. All forums talk about this problem, but there is never a solution.

According to forums, could be anything from ballantis, Prostatitis, HPV wart inside urethra.

Doctors tests have found nothing wrong. What should I do?

I'm a journalist and I swear if we figure this out Ill have this published so guys like us don't have to go through hell and self-diagnoses over the internet.
