Red rash after masturbation... still there from 6 years ago.

by Morris559, Mar 19, 2009 04:28PM
I guess the title can sum up how bad this is. I aquirred a red rash on the head of my penis after i masturbated when i was 15 (so it's not an std). I'm 21 now, and this is really effecting my life.

I've been to the doctors twice. The first time she reccomended eumocream, but it diddn't work. So i went back, but my doctor was sick that day, so I had a stand in doctor that diddn't seem to care about it too much. he told me the red rash was mark on my penis that can't be cured. like a scar or something, but I don't believe that at all.

The rash looks different every time i look at it, it hasn't spread or gotten smaller, but sometimes it can look real sour one day, and the next it can look pinkish . It looks its worst an 20 to 30 minutes after I ejaculate, the rash becomes a real dark red, and can get really uncomfortable for the rest of the day.

This whole thing has damaged my confidence. I found a girl I really love, and I'm losing her because I keep avoiding having sex with her. I just want it to go away, so i can just be happy for once.

what shall i do? I don't want to go to the doctors again, because they're getting it wrong. what do you suggest?

thanks in advance.

It sounds like it could be a skin condition of some kind. You could try hydrocortizone cream. It works on about 90% of sking conditions I've ever come across, but if that doesn't work, then you really should demand that your doctor takes you seriously. You've got something wrong that's having an adverse effect on your life and it's damn well their job to fix it for you. Best of luck to you.

morris 559 i think it is significant that the "rash" gets redder and darker after ejaculation. when you think about it, while you are erect your penis is full of blood and when you ejaculate that blood leaves your penis, you go soft and the blood returns to the rest of your body except for this little area. im wondering if it is a vascular problem, like the blood vessels in that area stay engorged and thus the dark color. you don't say whether the uncomfortable means pain or itching or what, im guessing there is pain, as when blood doesn't circulate anywhere int he body correctly it will cause pain.i think if you love this girl as you say you should tell her so, and explain why you are hesitant to have sex, she will want you to get help if she loves you too.  it is imperative that you see a different doctor, and keep seeing people until you get the help you need. it sounds fixable and you are suffering needlessly. good luck, i am a registered nurse 20 years and have seen an awful lot of stuff, and usually things can be cured or treated.
