Redness on penis

In the second week of May, I had unprotected sex with a long time female friend of mine.  She told me she was on the pill now, started taking it a month or two before hand.  And ever time she gets a refill of pills she gets tested for everything and is good.  She also told me that she has been abstinent and wanted me to break her abstinence.  Due to all these things, we had unprotected sex and I did not even worry about it.

During the next couple days or so, i cant recall now, I got a whitish bump on my penis accompanied by some itching and whitish clumps but no pain or burning but it went away.  Then a couple days later it came back with a couple more bumps, I started freaking out so I went to the clinic, the doctor looked at it and said it may be herpes.  When I heard this my heart immediately sank, she prescribed me some pills and took some blood samples.  I immediately called my friend and told her the news, she assured me that she had been tested for herpes and is negative but she had recently gone to the doctor and had been diagnosed with yeast infection and I probably had a reaction to that.  So, a week later I went back to the clinic, doctor re-looked at the area (rash had gone, still a little red and itchy tho), she told me my test results for herpes came back negative and it was probably just a reaction to the yeast and prescribed me a cream.  In the next couple of weeks I used the cream, though I missed some days, the itching almost went away completely but i kept using the cream and washing my penis head with soap and water.

After a little while, my mind began to wonder, and I started thinking about if I could have this reaction to yeast, could I have possibly contracted HIV as well.  I got my self so worried, I had trouble thinking about anything else.  So in the 2nd week of July I went and got tested, relieved it came back negative.  But my penis head was still reddish, and now the skin was dry and itched slightly.  So I went to my doctor who looked at the area and told me it didnt look to alarming, just keep using the cream and do not eat alot of sweet foods that might feed yeast.

August came around and I was still nervous about HIV due to the window period the nurse at the clinic told me about and I went to get tested again in the second week of august. Still negative.  The dermatologist told me that he did not think it was yeast, he thinks I was just excessively washing the area and the skin of the penis is really sensitive and does not react well with alot of soap and water.  So he prescribed me eletone to put on 5 times daily.  This is my first day using the eletone, the area where the red spots were originally started to become red again and then a little later in the afternoon went back to original color.

I'm very nervous, I've never had anything like this before.  This is my first time having unprotected sex and this happens.  I cant figure out what this condition is from, a yeast infection should have came and went.  Also, do you think enough time has gone by for my most recent HIV test to be conclusive.

Okay, yes I definitely learned my lesson...never again.  Is it normal for it to become red when I applied the ointment though? Also the girl told me she has been tested and she is still negative, i dont know I just felt so stupid, for putting myself in that position, i could not get it off my mind so I had to go get tested again.

Thank you

You have to stick to the treatment and use all of the medication. If you don't it's not going to completely go away. It sounds like your all clear on the HIV tests. I'm sure your thinking this already but I'll tell you anyway. Always, always use a condom. If you would have you would not have gotten a yeast infection and an STD scare. No matter how well you know someone you can not trust them with your health or your life. It sounds like your going to be fine but make sure you use all of your medication.  Remar
