Right medicine for Pytriaisis Versicolor?

by Raul55, May 10, 2009 04:38AM
Hello, i have had patchy skin hyperpigmentation and i saw a couple of docotrs recently and ive done some research abt it.It seems to be Pytriasis Versicolor.

Ive been using nizoral shampoo every other day on the infected area and for the first 2 weeks was using lamisil or canensten cream (anitfungal). However the last doctor i went to prescribed me DOVONEX (calciptotriol). Ive done some research on what it is, and there is no link between Psoriasis(which is what dovonex is used for) and Pytriaisis Versicolor or even Tinea Versicolor, or any other fungal infections for that matter.

I know this disease takes time to go away, but i dont want to be using the wrong medicine and still have no results by summer....

Any advice would be apprecciated
