i am a teen (not going to say how old but over 13)
i have a girlfriend and i have never had sex.
the other day i was in bed on a cold night so i put my hand between my legs.
i then noticed a more of a lump than to be expected.
i felt my testicles and the right 1 is roughly twice the size of the left.
i am in no pain at all but i am a bit woried after reading some posts on the internet about these4 kind of things.
i have read that it might be a twisted 'pipe' and things like that.
i am feeling extremely worried (extremely at my age)
i am thinking about telling my dad but im sure he would tell the hole family and would want to know how i found out (he is old fasioned and is 57.
i would have extreme dificulty breeching the subject with any1 exept people i dont know (doctors)
i am also wondering if it will go away on its own like a cold.
i also dont want to tell my gf incase she thinks it is a std.
we have a sexual health teacher that comes into school every monday but i still dont even want to tell her !!!
please help or if you have any self-help remodies or sugestions please let me know as they will all be welcome.

tell ya dad  and ask him not to tell anyone ! tell him you felt it in the shower washing it , are you old enough to see a doc on your own ? you can see a doc without telling anyone . good luck x x

your probably just going through puberty. at your age testicles start to enlarge and its possible that one testicle could enlarge before the other testicle. also its possible that maybe during sports you could have injured your testicle and it has swollen up. best thing to do is just tell your mom to make an appointment with the doctor and dont tell her what its for. tell her that its something personal that you would rather speak with a doctor about. im sure she will understand. not going to the doctor could DEFINETLY MAKE THINGS WORSE! if there is something wrong with your testicle your gonna need some kind of treatment.

how old do i have to be to see a doc on my own and also i am a bit shy and this realy isnt the kind of thing i tell anyone about i might wait a couple of weeks to see if it gets any better but it is also feeling a little harder that the other. when you look at them you can imediately tell that one is bigger than the other when my scrotum is tight. i dont think its because of puberty ive had a "mustash" for about 1/2 years now that is noticable but not like a proper one. i also have a lot of pubic hair ... down there

you can see a doc from 12 alone , may differ whereyou are !  are yousure its swollen ? i agree with mike it could just be puberty you still grow (all over ) untill at least 18 ! one is usually larger than the other .unless red and visually swollen it prob just normal changes !

and yes i can definately tell that one is bigger than the other just by looking (unless the scrotum is relaxed)

HEY OBY WHY DONT YOU DO A LITTLE RESEARCH ON THE COMPUTER AND FIND OUT WHATS WRONG WITH YOU TESTICLE. THERE ARE SOME HELPFUL WEBSITES THAT WILL DESCRIBE CERTAIN CONDITIONS. TYPE IN SWOLLEN TESTICLE IN THE ADDRESS BAR AND SEE WHAT COMES UP. YOU MIGHT GET A BETTER IDEA OF WHATS WRONG

I read with interest the replies to the 13 year old with the swollen right testicle.I understand how hard it is for kids to talk with parents about certain body parts.I am a parent and am a doctor-I would want my kid to talk to me-and no,I would not think badly that he found a problem-exploring your own body is normal and we all have done so-even your dad! The swollen right testicle may be nothing-but it could also be something very serious and needs to be checked out by a doctor immediately-print out this page from the computer and give it to your parents-they will help you and I bet they won't give you a hard time at all-let us know what happens
