Sexual Drive

Sexual Drive

Ok here is my question and i hope someone out there can help me out. I am a 28 year old female and have been married for 4 years now. I have no children and there is something i need help with.
I have always been told that women reach their sex drive around of 30's. Now, all the time that we have been together my husband has been a person with a low sex drive i take it to his daily smoking (which i have tried soooo many time to quit but he just doesn't want to). i consider myself a person with a high sex drive unfortunately my husband does not. Like i said, he is a daily smoker and have intercourse 1-2 times a week if im lucky. Now for a moment i thought maybe unfaithfulness???? but nothing like that is happening. He has been this way for the past 8 years that we have been together.
My question is 1) is it normal for a male to have such a low sex drive? 2) is there anything else he can do (other than quit smoking) to help him 3) What do u recommend he take or diet wise in order to boost hima little bit?

I have no problem when we do have intercourse its the best i just wish we had MORE of it. I forgot to mentioned he is 29 years old so considered young still.

thanks for all ur help!

People have a whole range of levels of sex drive - everyone is different.  I don't think that your husband is particularly unusual.  The problem here I suppose is not that he's unusually low, or you're unusually high, just that the two of you are at different levels.  Since you suggest he's been this way all the time you've known him, I guess he's happy with it and is settled into being this way, he sees no need to change.

If he can stop smoking then that may have a benefit here (as well as so many other areas, of course).  If he's overweight that might be a factor too.  Other than that, sorry, I don't have any real suggestions for you.

Zinc is an essential mineral needed for the production of testosterone. It regulates the stuff down there, contributing to normal sperm counts and the regulation of your sex drive. This aids in the production of semen. A lack of this results in a non-existent sex drive, low sperm counts, and lessened fertility.

So with a lack of zinc you can't have a healthy sex life.

To Incorporate It Into Your Diet, Provided that you want a healthy sex life, you'll want to up your zinc intake. Zinc supplements are available in the pharmacies.

Here are foods that are rich in zinc:

- Seafood
- Chicken
- Beef
- Lamb
- Oysters (yes, oysters really are an aphrodisiac!)
- Brown rice
- Oatmeal
- Pecans
- Cashews
- Peanut butter
- Cheddar cheese
- Milk
The recommended daily amount is 15mg, but try to aim for 20 or 25mg.
