Shrinking Penis

I have posted here before, but I feel that I must be persistent.  I am 29 years old, and have been impotent for about 2 years now.  2 years ago, I was absolutely fine.  I could have sex as many times as I wanted to.  3 times a night would be no problem.  I woke up with erections, and if I didn't have sex I would masturbate in the morning and before I went to bed.

It is a different story now however.  No morning wood.  No libido.  If I am able to get an erection it doesn't last long.  Visual stimuli has no effect, I have to use my hand and that doesn't work very well.  When flacid, my penis is smaller now.  The skin feels different--less sensitive.  I see veins where I couldn't see any before.  When I walk around, it feels like I don't even have a penis anymore.  It feels like nothing is there.  As a result of this I have lost my girlfriend, my confidence in life, and I think I am losing my mind.  Oral drugs don't help.

I've been to urologists at an ivy leage teaching hospital. He basically said 'that's life' and showed me penis pumps.  I really don't know why I am typing this message, as I don't think there is anything anyone can really do.  I am beyond the point of losing hope.  I quite honestly do not want to live like this anymore.

My only questions are:
a.  Why & how did this happen?
b.  Is there any way to fix it?

If you know a doctor, please forward this to him/her because I really need help.  Thank you.

It is a strange beast. A lot of what I am reading are very common things that happen. Cold weather, or cold water can change size dramatically. Remember when you went swimming for a long period of time and you looked at your fingers afterwards? They were all shrivled up, weren't they. Also... if the body is lacking blood flow in one area, it will take it from another to accommodate. Since the temperature in the genitals and testicals is about two degrees different, that will easily be a first target. When you are stressed your body can tell you that you are by causing the penis to "turtle shell". When you are in nervous situations the same thing can happen as well. There are other factors as well but if you are that worried about it then see a doctor for things that happen to ALL men...

Hey.

Went to the docs last week and they are now convinced that its not psychological. Been referred to a urologist. Hopefully can start making some progress on finding out what this is.

Has Hypogonadism been ruled out as a cause?

Have you had blood tests for PSA,  PAP,  LH,  Prolactin,  thyroid function?
At your age - in 50s I'd reckon - prostate cancer can sneak up on you.
Have a full medical including DRE (finger up the bum).
Lay off sex,  masturbation for a couple of days before blood test done;  also wait several days after DRE before blood tests.

You came out of 'Nam so you must be a fighter.

Best of luck.

I had peyronnes about 20 years ago.If i remember correctly it lasted about 7 years and then just cleared up.There is some kind of  powder that you mix with water and drink 3 times a day to treat peyronnes.Damned if i can remember what it was.
I also had the shrinking penis and that cleared up recently.
Now i have aching balls and lower back pain
Even now it disables me at times.

Thanks for the posts.

Just wanted to check; peyronnes - is this what you have? Or do you have the shrinking without the curving?
