Sliced Pinky

by b84j, Jun 06, 2007 12:00AM
So the other day when I was at a friends house I managed to get up off a couch and hit a chandelier (which was way too low to begin with) with my head causing it to shatter. I got a small cut on the back of my head and after a few seconds I looked down to see that my right pinky had received a fairly deep slice. The slice goes from the bottom of my pink and around to the side, in a diagonal fashion, almost parallel to the nail.

It ended up bleeding for quite some time and then I finally got it to stop after tightly wrapping it with 3 bandages.

Its 4 days later now and I've just been letting it air out and I haven't really used any medication on it. I'm pretty sure I have cut a nerve though because the left side of the tip of my finger where the slice comes up along the nail feels slightly numb. Like I can feel things when I touch it but its that feeling where you are just coming out of a numb state.

Overall it doesn't hurt, unless of course if i press down on it.
