Small lump on internal part of penis shaft

Hello,

Over the weekend, I discovered a lump on the shaft of my penis.  It's about the size of 1/2 of a small kernel of corn, is fairly firm and painless, and is located inside my body (i.e. on the part of the shaft that's under the skin, if that makes sense -- the corpus spongiosum, I believe?).  If I sit in a reclining position, it's located more or less between my testicles, squarely on the center of the shaft.

Should I be worried about urethral cancer?  Is there anything this could be besides urethral cancer?  It's so hard to find info on the net about lumps on the penis that are *inside* the body (rather than on the visible part)...I have a doctor's appointment in a little over a week, but it'd be nice to know if there's something this could be besides cancer.

(Other information:  I've been having some discomfort in my right upper thigh, off and on for the past 8-10 days, as well as occasionally feeling a sense of aching, fullness and pressure in the right side of my groin, which sometimes seems associated with pressure on my abdomen.  I did do a bit of heavy lifting right before all this started, and also had to do a LOT of sitting -- 8 hours or more per day, for five days or so -- around the time this started.  I haven't noticed any changes in the consistency or color of my urine, nor have I had any difficulties in urinating.)

I have the same issue and have a urologist appointment next week hopefully everything turns out ok I am pretty worried......How did your situation turn out?
