Something popped inside the penile shaft. What was it and should I be worried?

Today I noticed a small lump inside my penile shaft. It was maybe the size of a pea or smaller and sat about a half inch below the head and to the left, but it was inside the shaft, and not visible from the outside. In fact, just touching the shaft normally, you wouldn't be able to notice it. I could only feel it by pinching both sides of the shaft and then I could feel the lump.

Anyways, while feeling it, it popped and is no longer there. There is no pain or discomfort, and everything looks normal.

What could this be?
