Testicle dropping?

My fiance, whom I am not sexualy active with, told me that he's concerned that when he was 13 is testicle was damaged. He said it was in intense pain and then was notably lower than the other. We're both curious as to what happened, and want to be sure it wasn't anything that could effect conceiving.

One does always hang lower than the other, and a blow to the testicle is always painful.  If it had been severely damaged, one would think the pain would have increased and he might have also suffered from the symptoms of an infection (like at least a fever).  If he's concerned about his sperm count, he can see his doc and get it tested.
