Testicle pain 1 week+ after getting injured

I was sitting forward on a weight bench 9 days ago, and as I slid forward, one of my testicles got caught in the gap between the upper and lower part of the bench.  Naturally it hurt a lot, and I went home for the day.  It still hurts fairly significantly, even after 9 days.  It's throbbing pain that comes and goes, with more comes than goes generally.  My question is: should I see a doctor?  Is it possible I've damaged something?  I expected it to hurt for maybe a day or two, but this seems excessive.  I'd go straight to the doctor but I'm a student and I work so my time is very limited.  Thanks in advance for any help.
