Testicular Cancer?

I recently got a sudden build up of fluid around my left testicle and on the back of my testicle I can feel a lump (this could be the epididymis but is feels larger then usaual), I have also had a dull ache in my lower abdomen. Yesterday I visted my doctor and I wasn't told it was cancer and the swelling could be an Hydrocele, I was given an appointment with a Urologist, but that is a month away and I can now feel what I think are swollen lymph nodes in my groin and neck, my doctor did not check these and I am worried they are associated with cancer.
Should I wait for the appointment in a month or go back to my doctor and have the swelling in my groin and neck examined?
