The rear of my left testicle is in slight pain. Any clue why?

So, today in the shower, I noticed a strange spot on my left testicle where the epidiymis meets the lower part of my testicle. It's slightly inflamed and hurts a little from time to time. I haven't had any sexual partners or anything like that. I'm only 17 years of age and don't want to have that conversation with my parents about my groin hurting unless I absolutely have to. Let me know if you have any clue as to what it is. I'm having pain in the back of my testicle where the epididymis is.
