Thighs with pimples, itchy red penis

Hi, About a month ago i started to have what appeared to be pimples on both of my thighs.  There weren't a great amount of them but they concerned me.  No pimply puss came out like acne.  My Penis had also started to have cracking skin and get red and itchy at times.  Not sure what it is though. I was considering it was herpes, but after reading about how bad the first outbreak is supposed to be, i didn't think this was it.  I didn't have any fluid filled bumps or anything.  Can someone enlighten me?
        Sincerely, Pretty concerned

Sounds like folliculitis, referring to your leg pustules.  As for your genital irritation, probably some type of eczema or dermatitis.  See your dermatologist so s/he can prescribe you a topical.  Its probably not herpes.

There's also a weird smell from time to time. Haven't smelt it before.
