Unretractable foreskin when erect

Hi. I am 18 years old and my foreskin will not go back when erect. I just recently started proper cleaning of the penis, hence the skin is not able to go back freely when i am soft. but it has been 3 months and the skin will not go back when erect. Do i need to consider circumcision?

Circumcision isn't the only solution, as far as I know.  I did some research into this a little while ago as my partner (who is also 18, incidentally) has a (very) tight foreskin.  

There's a procedure known as "Preputioplasty", that serves to slacken the foreskin instead of removing it entirely.  As I'm not a doctor, I cannot say for certain whether it will work in your case, or indeed what is involved in the procedure, but it looks like an effective way of relieving a tight foreskin without actually resorting to circumscision.

It's hardly the Lancet medical journal, but I've found Wikipedia to be reliable up until now, and I have no reason to believe this article to be incorrect.  

My advice would be to swollow your pride and go see a doctor.  You'll feel silly and embarrased, but ultimately if you can (re)gain full control over your foreskin again, then surely in the long run it's worth it?
