Urination Question

Im a 21 year old healthy male. After I urinate I have to stay and shake for like 15-20 seconds after im done going or I have some urine leak out. None of the other males that I know shake for more then 3-4 seconds. Is this semi normal or is this a sign of something? Thanks.

yes,no,yes would be the answers to those questions for sure. i wakeup maybe once or twice per month to urinate during the middle of the night if that...and its usually when i drink a lot and dont **** before i go to bed. a lot of the time when i wakeup i dont have to go "that bad"

and its not like urine is dripping at random times...jus right after i go it seems that i have to devote a little more time then others to get it all out.

thanks for the responses

Otherwise, is your urine stream strong?  Do you have to get up nights to urinate?  Do you wake up normally with erections?  If you answers are yes, no, and yes, it sounds like your "plumbing" is fine.  You are too young to have prostate troubles, but getting checked out anyway would take care of the obvious.

Also if this was something with my prostate it woulda started happening when I was like 15-16...does it really happen that young? And wouldnt it be getting worse as time goes on? It just stays the same.

And the amount of urine leaking out if I dont shake for 10 seconds or so isnt like a huge amount or anything. Id say like 3-5 drops or so

This has happened for about 6-7 years now...I doubt it has anything to do with my prostate.

If this frequently happens, then get your prostate checked out by your physician.
