Use of Lube while masterbating(masturbating)

Lost my wife 9 months ago and have started masterbating (masturbating) using s product called vivaxx and have recently noticed a rash on top part of the shaft, not painful or itching, my thought on this was I have been using it more than the recommed dosage, should I back off for a while and see what happens or go to my Doctor?
