Vibration/Buzzing in penis

Vibration/Buzzing in penis

I recently began having a buzzing sensation in the glans (glands) (head) of my penis on the right side. It is driving me crazy. It is a continuous buzzing like a cell phone going off in my pocket. I found a previous closed thread on this forum and thought that I would revive the discussion. I am actually a medical student and I have a theory on why this may be happening. It seems like a lot of people who posted began having the problem after starting a new job that required a lot of sitting or after starting an exercise routine. The sensory nerves from the penis travel in the pudendal nerve into the sacrum right above your tail bone. It is very possible the a misalignment of sacrum, lumbar spine or a tight muscle in that area could cause irritation of this nerve which would cause a buzzing sensation to be felt by the brain. Some doctors will overlook these types of somatic problems, which is probably why most of you did not get a definitive answer. I would recommend seeing an osteopathic physician (DO) who can do manual adjustments to these areas, which is exactly what I am going to do myself. Ill let everyone know how my treatment turns out.

I've had the same issue for the last week or two. It's not painful at all, it's just annoying. The first few times I really felt that my phone kept going off. I'd like to find out if it is indeed some sort of somatic issue. I have recently moved, work two jobs where I sit all day, and generally have been trying to exercise to keep the weight off- (even though I have a mild hernia, that requires surgery- when I have time). So it'd make sense if somatic is the reason. I basically have the "Holy Trinity" of somatic factors that could trigger this even though I tend to not feel like the stressed-out type at all.

Any help would be appreciated. I am scheduling an appt with my DR on Monday and really have no idea what to tell her.

I had my back "popped" earlier this week and I havent had the problem since then. I would suggest trying that.

Most cases this buzzing is due to nerve damage - broken blood vessel.  Some people may have slight red spot, bump like mosquito bite or nothing at all.  It is usually from masterbating (masturbating) to hard.  This can take 6 months to heal without sex or masterbating (masturbating).

hmmm penisbuzzer sounds more like me. I felt it a few times after getting piercings down there, just figured that was the reason. And mine is just a quick buzz, just  enough for me to check my cell. And it happeed maybe 10x in 2 years.
