Water/Electrolyte Imbalance

Water/Electrolyte Imbalance

Prior to my trip to Europe this summer, I had been binge drinking evey weekend for 2 years, and I wasn't drinking water in between drinks. I wasn't drinking the daily recommended amount of water throughout the day either. This summer in Europe, I had happened to binge drink the first 2 nights with red bull/vodka, both major diuretics. I hadn't drank any water in between drinks and ended up dehydrating myself majorly. I was very delusional and depressed. My vision was blurry and I was miserable. I was very dumb not going to the doctor, and just started drinking a lot of water. I was still delusional, but couldn't really figure out what was wrong with me. I was still partying at night, but with a few drinks (vodka/soda) and was drinking a lot of water in between. I would constantly confirm where I was with myself and the time it was because of the delusion. The best thing for me would have been to go back home to the states and go to the doctor. Now that Iv'e been back for a month, im still a bit delusional and my memory is still a little off. Iv'e been completely sober since Iv'e come back. Although I know what happen yesterday, and even last week, it doesnt feel like yesterday and last week. The delusion is going away slowly. Iv'e still been dumb not going to the doctor thinking I will feel normal soon. Could I still be feeling like this because I might still not be at a good body water balance and that those 2 nights in Europe really imbalanced my electrolyte balance?

How were your eating habits when you were out of the country? When some people are on vacation and drinking alot on top of it, they're not eating well.  I'm wondering if your getting enough potassium and B vitamins. Are you taking a mulitvitamin? Drinking enough water might not be the only answer. Of course you should be drinking at least 8 glasses a day but if your not getting the vitamins and minerals you need it can make you feel terrible. Break down and see your Dr so you can find out what's going on for sure.  Remar

yeah, now that ive been back ive drank more than the recommeded amount of water and have quit drinking alcohol. I'm eating healthy and Im taking a centrum everyday. My mind has transitioned and I'm now out of that delusional state. A friend of mine told me my mental state changed and put me in that delusion because of all the binging I did. I dont really know what to believe haha

So your doing better now? That's so good to hear. Remember what binging and not eating right can do to your body and mind. I really am glad to hear your feeling better.  Remar
