What could be the reason of testicle pain

Hi all. I was having testicle pain for almost 12 days .. very dull.. pain on and off.. went for a day without pain and comes back the next day.. so didn't bother to worry much.. this happened after too much driving over the weekend... Thought it will go after some days.. but couldn't get it out of my mind and went to a urologist..

After physical examination doctor told it's infection.. and prescribed me taxim o 200 for 3 days and also said if pain increases get scrotal Doppler done.. today is the 4th day.. no pain or negligible pain.. no discharge since the starting.

What could the reason for  infection. I 30 yrs old male . Married for 4 yrs now.. next had sex with any other person in my life
