What could cause a painless bump in the groin region an inch or 2 from my thigh?

I have a small painless bump which is soft and firm. The skin appears slightly raised on the outside. When I pinch the region I can feel like a nodule the size of a pea. It doesn't hurt and has been this way for over a week. I went to the PCP who examined it/surrounding regions and said it is a minor bacterial infection and prescribed a general antibiotic that I have been on for a week. This seems to have had no effect so far. But it hasn't grown or shrunk. Should I be worried?
