What's causing my recurrent groin itch?

Hello, I am a 30 year old male with a quite uncomfortable issue. My groin area always seems to be itchy... My scrotum, shaft, inner thigh all suffer from itchiness quite often thoughout the day. My skin down there is pretty smooth and I haven't seen any bumps or anything irregular. I tested NEG for HSV2 so Im ruling that out right away.

Im thinking about seeing a dermatologist, but first I'd like to get an opinion from anyone to see if Im not alone with this issue...

If anyone can help/lend an opinion on the issue please respond.

Thanks!

It sound to me like jock itch. It's a fungal infection, and there's a spray for it you can buy a a drug store. You just spray it on a few times a day and you will be fine.
