Whats could be causing this irritation after a bowel movement?

For over a year now, I suffer burning and unconfortableness in my backside, prostate / urethra (difficult to say exactly where it initiates) after a bowel movement.  This can last for hours / all day after visiting the bathroom. Sometimes burning upon urination as well after and it is very irritatating - like cystitis. Urologist has confirmed prostate is not enlarged and PSA levels normal.  I do have a dilated duct to one of my kidneys that was found when ultrasound and CT scan done but urologist thinks unrelated and not serious. No stones show on scan. Ultrasound shows I am not completely emptying bladder after urinating - leaving 100ml or so. Urine tests show no bacterial infection or blood but small amount of protein - previous course of antibiotics was not effective in helping. Sitting down for long periods inflames irritation but on occasions it can go away completely for up to a week only to come back. Urologist now wants to do cyscostopy but I am putting it off as long as possible as frankly the procedure seems unpleasant. Any help on what this could be causing this irritation would be appreciated.
