Yeast infection or what

by dorsey, Apr 24, 2007 12:00AM
For five months now I have experienced a burning/ tingling sensation in the shaft and head of my penis.  I have had no blisters or bumps, but some redness or rash like look.  It comes and goes.  I tried valtrex and it seemed like it worked for a few days but symptoms returned before I finished the prescription.  I also tried monistat 7  and again it seemed liked it worked but symptoms still remain, but not as intense.  I also had some jock itch which has cleared up with lotramin ultra.  what is it? Jock itch?  a resistaint strain of yeast?  herpes, even though I have had intense burning/tingling but no blisters or bumps?  the symptoms have lasted for 5 months with little break.  thanks

Dorsey..

Any luck with your symptoms?  I am experiencing the same exact thing- it's a stinging/ burning sensation on the head and shaft- also intense redness/ puffyness around the slit- no blisters etc just intense burning and it comes and goes- one day it's there and the next it's not... also experiencing a blotchness appearance on the head...no clue as to what it is..have a dermatologist apt nxt week....

If it is a yeast infection and you stop the monistat when the symptoms go away, it can come back. Continue using the cream for several days after symptoms go away. If it's still comes back, it's not yeast.
