discharge- normal?

by answerforme, May 15, 2007 12:00AM
I'm not sure if this is normal, thing is I've never noticed it up until around 6 months ago.

I passed a kidney stone, which apparently isn't very strange in my family- i think I'm genetically disposed to them. This was around the time that the problems started.

However, I've noticed that every time I go to the bathroom, I not only produce urine but most times a thick substance. It happens worse when I am also defecating, and my penis expels a sort of thick substance which looks similar to semen but somewhat different. It ranges from relatively liquid to sometimes thick enough that it has to be helped out with tissue.

Is this normal?

If you don't ejaculate often, it's probably prostatic fluid.

I have not had sexual intercourse since late last year, not long before the problem started. Though as far as ejaculation is concerned, I masturbate every day (on average).

I have only ever engaged in sexual acts with two virgins- both of whom performed oral sex on me. The first was a girl several years ago so I doubt it is significant, and the more recent was my ex-boyfriend (we broke up in january).
He had never engaged in any sexual acts before dating me, though I did suspect him of cheating. the reason we'd broken up was because I found out he was looking for somebody else to meet up with from online, on gaydar.co.uk. He insists that he didn't cheat- but I was away at university for a whole term, only meeting him when he came to visit, so I could not be sure of what he was up to.

Does it sound like an STD?
