I have found it to cure my digestive problems and acid reflux...I have suffered from these problems for over 8 years and tried doing the cider 4 years ago and couldn't make it a habit due to taste.  It has now been two months and have found it to increase my energy levels, do away with anxiety attacks and cured my chronic acid reflux that was causing stridor in my breathing because of all the acid trapped in my esophagus.  I am a fond believer in ACV being a cure to many ailments and imbalances.  Has given me a new life.

I thing that Olive Oil is better and easier to drink than the vinager, and it does not taste nor smell as bad, and it has alot of good properties too, and medicinal properties....  I did not heard about vinager until just recently....

My mom use to give me pills for my memory, but I forgot to drink them, he, he, he, he,   :)  LOL...

anyways you might want to read a little more about that, because like somebody said before, I don't know about it causing or curing acid reflux, which is a very common problem, and it was not mention anything at all on that, but you can judge for yourself, check it out at http://www.bestguidesonline.com and go to the link for acid reflux, and I was not able to find anything there about the vinager, maybe you would...

D.C Javis wrote a book about it, years ago. I think it's called Folk Medicine. Anyway each day you take 1 tablespoon vinegar + 1 tablespoon honey mixed in a glass of water.
My dad did it for years and said it helped his arthritis.

Jarvis's 1958 book Folk Medicine: A Vermont Doctor's Guide to Good Health was on the New York Times Best Seller list for two years, ultimately selling over one million copies.

To read more about him go to Wikipedia.com and do a search for D.C. Jarvis.

This brings back old memories of the early eighties in Europe when it was trendy to have a mix of water with apple vinegar first thing in the morning. It is supposed to boost your metabolism and detoxify your skin. Apparently it also prevents a lot of respiratory infections, even if just inhaled. Vinegar is derived from grape, apple or rice alcohol and if you let that alcohol sit uncovered, it will mix with airborne bacteria and turn into vinegar. The "mother" is its by-product. Heck, you probably know all that...anyway, the better the fruit, the better the alcohol and the better the vinegar with or without that mother...lol...sounds pretty weird. You can actually buy the "vingegar mother" of super quality and inhance a regular plain vinegar with it. As for the effect - I only know my female buddies did have those rosy cheeks after a while and sometimes I wondered if they rather drank the miracle vinegar during its alcoholic stage...

Curious, could vinegar be irritating to the stomach or esophagus? Thinking about "sensitive" stomachs or those with GERD.

the vinager for bad words is great, but i wonder if it will turn them "OFF" of an apparently good thing ?

i know someone who used the old fashion lye soap, nasty !!!

but the "raw unfiltered" vinager would be good for them in the
long run !   they may have the last laugh and get to liking it.

i had gotten a recipe for apple cider vinager (raw unfiltered,
with the mother) and you can mix a little in a gallon of your favorite iced tea (i like green tea) and believe it or not,
it tastes awesome. i can't drink tea without it now, it grew
on me that much.  and it's helped balance my PH too !
the "mother" as i have found out, is the nutrient rich part of the vinager that gets filtered OUT when you buy it from the
grocery store !  you need to buy it from the health food store !

It wasn't pleasant.  He choked for about 5 minutes.  Then later on in the week found they made a pill to take.  So he was feeling pretty stupid by then.  But, his mother drinks the vinegar.  She says to just hold your nose.  I don't think so!!!  It tastes as strong as it smells.  We'll see if it's done any good.  It can't do any harm.

"He tried drinking the vinegar..."

Oh my God, he's got nerves of steel!  I wouldn't have the courage to even try.

My husband takes an apple cider vinegar tablet and a garlic tablet to help with cholesterol.  He was boarderline and to keep from being put on medication, he was told to try this.  He tried drinking the vinegar, but couldn't stomach the taste.  He is due back within a month to check and see how things are going with it.
