by ribus, Jul 31, 2006 12:00AM
i am having lumber pain for quite some time; got x-rayed. doctor did not frighrten me by the word 'cancer', at the same time the pain is not gradually diminishing inspite of religiously following the few exercises suggested. is it possible that my lumber is attacked by cancer?

Depending on how old you are, cancer is HIGHLY unlikely; lower back pain is unbelievably common. Almost everyone will experience it at some point. I'd suggest going back to your doctor, just so he knows the exercises aren't helping, and also getting a good therapeutic massage. Ask your doctor and your friends and/or at the gym about good therapists in your town.
