lump above left testicle

ive recently discovered a hard lump the size of a pea above my left testicle, it also hangs lower than my right one which i think is normal, i have read other posts about this.
the mass is connected to my testicle however moves around
could it be cancer or are there other explenations ???
im pretty embaressed to go to a doctor so could u give me a clue to what it could be
