lump under the arm,lymphnode??

He has a lump under the arm, like closer to the arm, then arm pit, and i think it has been there but just told me, won't go to the doctor to save his life, but he also has a lump on his hand that is on the knuckle and has a small lt. white area in the center, but is this the c word?? cancer??? the lymphnodes?  i think he has diabeties, has wet the bed several times, this is a grown man, also, he would eat candy bars like crazy to feel better???? what do you think???? please help so important to convince him to go to the doctor!!!!!!!!!!thank you so much!!!

Don't know if this will help or not, but there are lots of reasons why a lymph node would swell...anything from a bug bite to the common cold could cause the lymph node swelling.  I'm not well versed on diabetes, but some of the others here are...just thought I'd add my 2 cents worth on the lymph nodes.

My husband just showed me a swollen lymph node under his armpit. He said that it has been there for a while and has grown in size. He will not go to the doctor to save his life!!! He says that it is painful to touch and the pain goes around his back up to his heart. He said it feel like there is a cord pulling inside. Any ideas of what this could be would be helpful cuz I need to convince him to go get this checked out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please help!!!
