Hello,
A small polyp can be removed laparoscopically or during colonoscopically. After colonoscopy you will be observed for your vital parameters and any other symptoms like abdominal pain, local peritoneal irritation, and fever etc. Most people are able to eat normally a few hours after the procedure. The recovery time depends patient to patient and few patients may go home the same day or next day. Your doctor may take biopsy of the polyp and you should call for results within one to two weeks. Before the surgery it is best to clarify all your doubts and concerns with your operating doctor. Do keep me posted.
Best luck and regards!
