nipples hurting/burning

I'm 42 I work in a freezer. Ever since I started there a month or so into it My nipple began burning bad Very painful and I'm no flower I Drilled wells for 20+ years and broke my back,. So I had to move on to a less strenuous job . My brother ,Whom is the only one I've only told this embarrassing endeavor says "if I'm getting refrigerant poisoning  it will do this" Well I got laid off and there still burning  slightly swollen and painful to the touch, 6 months later, What could it be  How do I stop it. I might also add I seem to have lost a lot of interest in sex. Is this an estrogen issue . Ive never EVER done any steroids in my life . However I was on strong pain pills when I broke my back. Ive stopped the  Pain pills and now take Methadone to manage my pain. Any Ideas?
