numbness and tingling

i have had constant numbness and tingling in my right hand it hurts to try and close my hand i cannot make a fist and there is no strength there has also been some light swelling around my thumb and wrist area the tingling sensation feels like my hand is asleep it seems to be worse closer towards my finger tips there is a sensation in my elbow and it almost feels like pressure in the inside part of right elbow

This sounds like carpel tunnel syndrome. Do you use your hands a lot for work, like using a computer, carpentry maybe? See your Dr and they will do some testing to find out if this indeed is what the problem is.     Remar
