pain in testicle

OK so for about a month and a hlaf ive had testicular pain, started out just a little irritation in my abdomin (abdomen), then my testicle (left side) began to have a pain when i would near ejaculation (like when things start tugging around down there ) and now its progressed to pain all the time, first it was JUST the epidmydidus (i dont know how to spell it sorry) and now its that AND the testicle feels tender when i squeeze it in the middle, theres no lumps but the testicle feels a little harder on that side then the other. i was to a urologist already  (this all started with prostitius by the way) at the time he payed no attention to my mention of testicular pain other then to feel it and say it felt fine IT DOESNT FEEL FINE TO ME! the prostititus symptoims are gone thank god but my testicle is getting worse. what could this be? im going in tomarrow again but ive been reading up on stuff and im getting a little unnnerved by the thought of torsion or chronic testicular problems and i would very much appreciate any thoughts on the matter. thanks

It might be a a hernia-- I complained of severe testicular pain and my (FORMER) urologist kept saying it was "infection" ...this was following my THIRD prostate surgery for enlargement (TURPS)  I went to a general surgeon and he reccomended hernia repair ASAP--after that the pain went away---get checked for a HERNIA..............
