perianal bump

Good day, all. I've recently had an embarrassing & shocking discovery. While wiping after passing stool I would sometimes feel some irritation in the perianal area, especially when I clench. I finally felt a bit of a lump while I was wiping recently and decided to check it out. It seems to be a small bump/lump right above my anus. (Yes, this is a bit awkward to say.) So now I'm wondering, what could this be? Naturally, I am worried. It is not tough or hard, and it doesn't hurt to touch it. The toilet paper does bother it at times, I guess due to the frequency of wipes. I haven't been bleeding and my stool hasn't looked strange in any way.

What could this be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!
There can be several possibilities based on the information shared by you. This lump could possibly be a perianal abscess or heamorrhoids. This is only speculation. It is very important that you see a doctor and get it examined. If it is an abscess then you may need antibiotics. It may be possible that this is the early stage of hemorrhoids so you do not have pain. In that case stool softeners, soft diet may be helpful. Do keep us posted.
Best luck!

I checked a while ago and it's gotten bigger. I am so very worried. it's making wiping after going to the bathroom uncomfortable. Sometimes when I sit I feel pain.

Oh, I see. Thank you for your reply. Could this be a genital wart also, and if it is what does that mean for me?

And is there some special doctor I would need to go see for my situation? Like I know I'd see a urologist about any penis problems but who would I see about this?
