skin peeling/abrasion on underside of shaft of penis

i had sex, and the next morning by penis was itching, and then within a day a kind of peeling on the underside of my penis had appeared. Initially, i just thought it may be due to rough sex. It looks like an abrasion, but have read up and searched the internet, and i am worried it may be herpes? is there any other way of ruling it out before seeing a doctor? or is it definitly herpes?

thanks.

and...i didnt include, sorry. that i was wearing a condom during sex, altho it did fall off, and then oral sex followed on as a result.

the woman says she doesnt have it, and doesnt show any signs of it.

the abrasion is not oozing, but it is sore, there are no lumps, it is just an abrasion....

sorry. and thanks in advance.
