slight burn

My 14 year old says it burns when he pees and that it is really yellow. Does he need to drink more water or do you think he needs to see a doctor over this?

yeah i agree uti , the darker the colour the more he needs to drink it dilutes the acid that burns . if no improvement after increasing intake then see a doc he may need anti bs too . x x

drink more water, and don't masturbate after you have peed..thats the worst feeling ever.

burning means your wee is too acidic generally, try the water thing, they say 8 glasses a day but i drink about 3ltrs a day, it can only be good for you..

i would start with the water first and see if it still burns should fix itself within a few hours...if not by the end of the day, if it still burns then i would suggest take him to the docs, there is possibly a number of reasons it may burn, possibly infection, STD (at 14 i would doubt it) but may just be an infection that would be fixed up with antibiotics
