sore throat after oral

ok so I preformed oral sex on my girlfriend 3 days ago and my throat seemed to get sore the day after. I know its not a std or anything because she is a virgin and has never be in a sexual realationship. Im just wondering if the fluids of the vagina can cause irratation to the throat. she gets really wet and a lot gets in my mouth. Im just worried because she really likes it and I want to continue to do it. is there anything I can do to stop this with out stoping oral?
thanks

Sorry LB but you're incorrect. Most females have strep b in their vaginal flora, much like men and HPV. Because of these antibodies being so familiar with their surroundings they don't tend to exhibit or cause infection in the female.
However, this bacteria can in some cases be deadly to those who have a compromised immune system. That is rare, however it is very common to get the infection after being exposed to this vaginal flora.
Let's also not forget that women also have the flora that causes thrush. If it is all balanced internally then the woman will be none the wiser, but to a nice fresh and new environment it will probably cause riot until you yourself build up an immunity to your girlfriend's vaginal discharges/***.

"Good grief boys. You probably were carrying the illness and felt fine before you performed the oral. One has nothing to do with the other. "

i have to either disagree or ask if its purely coincidence. Same with me, expect we've done it before with no issue. then once time, i ended up with strep throat.

a month later ( same person)  i was going down on her.  by the second day i was experiencing muscle ache ( probably because i'm out of shape)  soreness in the throat which to later in the evening/night felt like strep throat, follwoing by a high temputre, chills and nausea ( which i haven't experienced in almost 10 years)

as mentioned, we have been togehter before. but the last 2 times i have had the same symptons or worse.

Good grief boys. You probably were carrying the illness and felt fine before you performed the oral. One has nothing to do with the other.  You didn't knw about it yet because you had not yet started feeling the symptoms. Totally coincidentally that you came down with it after the night of oral. What if you had just eaten an ice cream....would that have caused it?
also, yes you can get strep in the summer. My three kids all have it and we are right in the middle of summer and hot temps.
Which takes me to explaining how strep gets there. It is transferred to your throat by a bacteria that you can catch from others that have it, that grow in your throat and cause it to be swollen and sore (not from vaginal fluids)....the best way to get rid of it is with antibiotics.
Strep throat is an infection caused by the streptococcus bacteria. It is extremely dangerous if left untreated. But having one strep infection does not confer immunity to further such infection.

Only a small number of sore throats are actually strep throat. Many of them are infections in their own right and need medical treatment, but they're not all strep infections.
You probably gave the girl strep if you kissed her mouth to mouth.
