sore tongue

i've had an irritation on my tongue for the past two days that i know of, when i was examining my tongue yesterday i discovered that on the right hand side the tongue its self has became sore and patchy. the area isn't swollen but flat and round. i have been under pressure with studied and had to do a presentation on wednesday in which i was extremely nervous and i my mouth was very dry, as i suffer with my nervous i decided to buy a rescue remedy containing brandy plant extracts which i comsumed orally i dont no if that may have caused the sores. thought i would ask here before consulting my doctor
