swollen lymph node

about 4 years ago i noticed a small swollen lymph node under my jaw. within the first week of noticing it i got up to a size of a nickle, since then it has remained thats size. years ago i saw a doctor and they said that it was prob. caused by an affection at some point and should eventally go away. its still here. it doesnt hurt but i am a little concerned if this is normal or not. i also remembered that before it formed i had a root canel done right about where the node is (dont knwo if there is a conection). if any have advice or opinion please let me know. (im a 25 year old male with no health issues)
